Eddie Murphy Confirmed For Beverly Hills Cop IV

Paramount Pictures have announced that they are reviving Eddie Murphy's massively successful movie franchise, 'Beverly Hills Cop', for a fourth installment, with Murphy on board to reprise the lead role of Axel Foley.

A spokesman for the company said on Thursday (May 29) that the new movie is expected to hit cinema's in 2010, with Brett Ratner most noted for his work on the 'Rush Hour' movies in negotiations to direct.

Murphy's international fame exploded in the 1980s after he first played the troubled Detroit detective, who heads to Beverly Hills to capture a friend's killer.
